Resumo
Este artigo apresenta os resultados obtidos a partir da oferta do Curso Básico de Libras pela Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais, em uma iniciativa de Extensão, por meio da Coordenadoria de Ensino a Distância, atendendo à demanda da Secretaria de Estado de Desenvolvimento Social, na capacitação de profissionais atendentes dos postos do Sistema Nacional de Emprego, nas diversas cidades de Minas Gerais. Os pressupostos teóricos deste trabalho contemplam a acessibilidade comunicacional, por meio da Libras (MOURA et al., 2021; BRASIL, 2002; 2005; 2015), além do ensino dessa língua espaço-visual na modalidade de Educação a Distância(SANTOS et al. 2015; SILVEIRA, 2022). O curso foi realizado pelo Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem (AVA )Moodle e sua ementa compreendeu tópicos voltados para as necessidades do público-alvo, sendo divididos em cinco unidades de aprendizagem,desenvolvidas a partir variados recursos do AVA. Ao final do curso, os alunos responderam a um questionário de avaliação, demonstrando que, de maneira geral, a iniciativa cumpriu com seu objetivo principal de fomentar a acessibilidade comunicacional durante o atendimento de pessoas surdas e com deficiência auditiva que buscam oportunidades de trabalho via sistema público de emprego, formando profissionais mais conscientes a respeito das especificidades linguístico-culturais dos surdos.
Abstract
This article presents the results obtained from the offer of the Basic Libras Course by the University of the State of Minas Gerais, in an Extension initiative, through the Coordination of Distance Learning, attending to the demand of the Secretary of State for Social Development, in training of professionals who work at the posts of the National Employment System, in the different cities of Minas Gerais. The theoretical assumptions of this work include communication accessibility, through Libras (MOURA et al., 2021; BRASIL, 2002; 2005; 2015), in addition to the teaching of this visual-space language in the Distance Education modality (SANTOS et al. 2015; SILVEIRA, 2022). The course was carried out by the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Moodle and its menu included topics aimed at the needs of the target audience, divided into five learning units, developed from various VLE resources. At the end of the course, students answered an evaluation questionnaire, demonstrating that, in general, the initiative fulfilled its main objective of promoting communication accessibility during the assisting deaf and hard of hearing people who seek job opportunities via the public employment system, training professionals to be more aware of the linguistic-cultural specificities of the deaf.
