| dc.description.abstract | Tailoring in Brazil has been going through a difficult period, as announced nearing completion. The reasons for this prediction are the developments in the clothing industry, the lack of recognition of the work of tailors own and discontinuity of trade resulting in the absence of learning in the workshops. This article aims to discuss how to change this situation, rethink these relations and enhance knowledge transfer work from artisans to ensure the preservation of a centuries-old art that still space in the contemporary world. | |

| local.description.resumo | alfaiataria no Brasil vem passando por um período delicado, anunciada como próxima do fim. Os motivos para tal previsão são os avanços da indústria da confecção, a falta de reconhecimento do trabalho pelos próprios alfaiates e a descontinuidade do ofício que traduz-se na ausência de aprendizes nas oficinas. Como reverter este quadro, repensar estas relações de transmissão de saberes e, valorizar o trabalho deste artesão de modo a garantir a salvaguarda de um ofício seculare que ainda encontra espaço no mundo contemporâneo é o que este artigo pretende discutir. | |
