Apontamentos sobre literatura e oralidade no projeto literário de Luandino Vieira e Mia Couto

Abstract

The present reflection aims to problematize the complex relationship established between literary enunciation and the marks of orality, specifically in literary projects of African countries whose official language is Portuguese. In methodological terms, a bibliographic survey was carried out on works by literary critics, historians, philosophers, sociologists from different African, Brazilian and other parts of the world who, in different ways, dedicated themselves to thinking about this relationship of knowledge. Some considerations are resumed regarding the oralized feature of prose literature by the writers José Luandino Vieira, Angolan, as well as Mia Couto, Mozambican. The discussion allowed, at the end, to endorse the mastery achieved by the writers who show themselves skilled in building texts whose structure is anchored in the overlap between the world of speech and that of writing.
