Ex libris como exercício didático: sobre a elaboração de três álbuns de gravuras

| dc.description.abstract | The art of the bookplate is directly connected to the book as a physical object. As such, it is a property mark with an allegorical meaning, located on the guard of the second cover. However, as its expressive potential, it detached itself from this initial function and acquired a status of an independent graphic/conceptual exercise, although some characteristics should be noted. As a didactic exercise, the UFMG Metal Engraving and Woodcutting ateliers produced, during 2019 and 2020, albums dedicated to this modality. As a working method, specific attribution and techniques were used, in addition to the development of the albums' own design. The work resulted in three albums, which are configured as exhibitions in reduction, dedicated to the interpretation of three different situations: the other, an institution and oneself. The last album still had the challenges of being make it in pandemic times. | |

| local.description.resumo | A arte dos ex libris está ligada diretamente ao livro enquanto objeto físico. Como tal é uma marca de propriedade com sentido alegórico e que se situa na guarda da segunda capa. No entanto, por seu potencial expressivo, se descolou desta função inicial e adquiriu status de exercício gráfico/conceitual independente, embora se deva observar algumas características protocolares. Como exercício didático, os ateliês de Gravura em metal e Xilogravura da UFMG elaboraram entre 2019 e 2020, álbuns dedicados a esta modalidade. Como método de trabalho utilizou-se a atribuição e técnicas específicas, além dos desenhos dos álbuns. O trabalho resultou em três álbuns, que se conformam como exposições em redução, dedicadas a interpretação de três situações distintas: o outro, uma instituição e a si próprio. Ao último álbum, ainda coube os desafios de sua realização em tempos pandêmicos. | |
