| dc.description.abstract | The proposals of the National Program of the Textbook (PNLD- Programa Nacional do Livro Didático) and the Curriculum Guidelines (Orientações Curriculares) emphasize that teaching a foreign language must be related not only in terms of linguistics aspects but it must enable students to have access to other cultural productions and recognize relevant social issues that are important during the process of building identity. Being in contact with different forms to see and organize the world helps learners to create a wider perspective of other values that may differ from their own. | |
