dc.description.abstractIt deals with the development of telemedicine services in Latin American countries, given the problems of inequality faced by these countries. The work was carried out through a literature review, using data from 1985 onwards. The research made it possible to observe the presence of three distinct and characteristic periods in the development of telemedicine in Latin America.

O trabalho foi feito por meio de revisão de literatura, utilizando dados a partir do ano de 1985. A pesquisa possibilitou observar a presença de três períodos distintos e característicos do desenvolvimento da telemedicina na América Latina.
