"Será que não é hora de você se retirar?" : as representações do amor no podcast Afetos

Abstract

From a communicational point of view, this work investigates the representations of love and affective-sexual relationships constructed in the Afetos podcast. It is intended to observe how questions of race, gender, class and other intersectional markers are intertwined in the constitution of these images, as well as ruptures and/or conformity with hegemonic discourses on love relationships. The theoretical foundation presents a discussion on black women and the intersectional approach, as well as a bibliographic survey of research on the subject of black women and affectivity. It also discusses the podcast format and a bibliographical review of Brazilian research that thematizes the political appropriation of the digital environment by black women. Then there is a general characterization of the Afetos podcast and the research analysis clipping, the monthly Afetos te Ajuda, where podcasters discuss love dilemmas sent by listeners. From this characterization, a discussion about love and sexuality is introduced. The methodology used consists of a framing analysis of the listeners' and presenters' reports about the love problem under discussion and, in a second moment, in the apprehension of the intersectional crossings in the constructed interactions. The conclusions point out that two main sets of representations are activated in the program: that of the listeners, where the ideal of romantic love predominates, and that of the presenters, who question this idealized vision and encourage the listeners to be autonomous and assume the protagonism of their love choices.
