Efeitos da vegetação viária no conforto térmico urbano

Abstract

The study of urban afforestation in general and of the road tree, in particular, aims to evaluate the possibility of improving the quality of life in urban environments. The urban planning has turned to ways of guiding space and integrating it with new and existing natural elements. Meanwhile, there is still little information that leads to this planning in a coherent and feasible way with specific situations, considering for this particularities and requirements. This present work aims to evaluate climatic variables, such as temperature and humidity of the air relating them to the positioning of arboreal individuals, as well as their species and size in the city of Pará de Minas, Minas Gerais. The variables of ambient temperature and relative humidity were collected, being subsequently calculate the absolute humidity, as well as the measurement of the ISA (Arboreal Shading Index) and the IAF (Foliar Area Index), respectively, obtained through the projection of the treetop and analysis of hemispheric photos. The obtained results point to the relation of the tree presence, as well as the size, canopy condition and positioning, grouped or not, in the positive microclimatic contribution of the evaluated site. The data found highlight the importance of urban tree planting in the microclimatic conditions of urban centers, which contributes directly to the improvement of urban thermal comfort.
