Adorno's text "On the fetishistic character in music and the regression of hearing", showing how the notion of fetish allows the author to delineate the self-denial of music, both by the absorption of value of use by the value of exchange, and by the infantilization of the public, when the pseudo-activity demonstrates a vertiginous coupling between individual and society. | |
