Resumo
Esta pesquisa se debruça sobre as criações de artistas contemporâneos brasileiros que partem do resgate e apropriação de arquivos familiares e públicos, trazendo uma reflexão sobre a memória, a imaginação e a potência do domínio pessoal em apontar para o coletivo. Com ênfase nos arquivos fotográficos familiares, ela acontece dentro de uma estrutura dialógica, em uma conversa não apenas entre as imagens e trabalhos, mas entre quem os conforma. As conversas e aproximações com os artistas e trabalhos incorporados ao recorte proposto são trazidas, através de uma linguagem poética e literária, por meio das casas de cada um, na tentativa de aproximar e amalgamar a construção da memória à construção do próprio espaço vivido. Dessa forma, esta não se trata de uma pesquisa analítica tradicional, mas de uma crítica elaborada por meio do diálogo, compreendendo a dimensão dos afetos e das relações que possibilitam múltiplas formas de constituição e apropriação dos arquivos familiares. Por fim, a pesquisa alicerça-se no trabalho artístico de autoria própria, conduzido pelos arquivos – fotografias, cartas, relatos – e memórias da avó materna da autora, Jacy, e pela pergunta que dá nome à pesquisa – “quem constrói as casas?”.
Abstract
This research focuses on the creations of contemporary Brazilian artists starting from the rescue and appropriation of family and public archives, bringing a reflection on memory, imagination and the power of the personal domain to point to the collective. With an emphasis on family photographic archives, it takes place within a dialogic structure, in a conversation not only between images and works, but between those who form them. The conversations and approximations with the artists and works incorporated into the proposed cut are brought, through a poetic and literary language, by the houses of each one, in an attempt to bring together and amalgamate the construction of memory to the construction of the lived space itself. Thus, this is not traditional analytical research, but a critique elaborated through dialogue, understanding the dimension of affections and relationships that allow multiple forms of constitution and appropriation of family archives. Finally, the research is based on the artistic work of self-authorship, conducted by the archives - photographs, letters, reports - and memories of the author's maternal grandmother, Jacy, and by the question that names the research - "who builds the houses?”.
