Resumo
I would like to express my gratitude firstly to God, who gave me the strength to complete this work. Special thanks also to my husband, parents, siblings and all members of my family for their love, prayers and for always being by my side.
I am deeply grateful to my advisor, Prof. Henrique, for guidance, support and so many transmitted knowledge. You taught me to think like a doctor and I will never forget your teachings.
To my co-advisors, Prof. Israel and Prof. Carlos, thanks for your assistance and for always being available when I needed.
Prof. Luciano, I really appreciate your constant support and attention paid to the physicochemical analysis. You were very important for this accomplishment.
My laboratory colleagues, thank you so much for the intellectual and emotional support in (a lot of) difficult times. Guilherme, Fernanda, Felipe, Cris, Julio, Márcia, Gabi and Sabine: you are the best.
Thanks to all DMVP staff (in particular José Roberto) and the students of scientific initiation (Rogéria, Marco Iuri, Ana Flávia, Clara and Nayara) who have helped me so much.
I also would like to thank CAPES for my Ph.D.’s scholarship. To CNPq, Fapemig and AQUACEN, thank you for the financial support.
Finally, I thank the fish processing industries that I visited and kindly handed over their effluents for analysis.
