| Abstract: | Esta tese investiga as possibilidades de se relacionar o conhecimento científico, prático e teórico, com juízos normativos. Trata-se de investigar, primeiramente, como o aspecto particularizado da ciência política garante alguma adequação normativa entre as leis segundo o hábito e a atividade da phrónesis enquanto uma forma de inteligência política. Em um segundo momento, trata-se de investigar como o aspecto universal atribuído à ciência teórica e à lei escrita poderia identificar um critério de validade epistemológica que expresse normatividade. Nesse sentido, o leitor irá encontrar neste trabalho uma investigação acerca das questões metodológicas da filosofia aristotélica, principalmente na direção em que os textos de filosofia prática estabelecem relação metodológica com os textos de filosofia teórica. A possibilidade de inferirmos aspectos normativos na dimensão da política em Aristóteles é dependente do resultado direto desse tipo de conexão metodológica. |
| Abstract: | This dissertation investigates the possibilities of relating scientific knowledge, practical and theoretical, with normative accounts. Firstly, we investigate how the particularized aspect of political science guarantees a degree of normative appropriateness between laws according to habit and the activity of phrónesis as a form of political intelligence. Secondly, we investigate how the universal aspect attributed to theoretical science and written laws could identify a criterion of epistemological validity that expresses normativity. In this sense, the reader will find in this essay a study about methodological questions in Aristotelian philosophy, mainly in the direction in which the texts of practical philosophy establish a methodological relation with the texts of theoretical philosophy. The possibility of inferring normative aspects in Aristotle’s political philosophy depends on the direct results of this kind of methodological connection. |
