Programa escola integrada da Prefeitura de Belo Horizonte: o alcance das ações intersetoriais

Abstract

This article presents a reflection on the actions that instrumentalize the articulation and integration of the institutions and activities of the Integrated School Program, developed by the Municipality of Belo Horizonte, through the Municipal Department of Education. The Program is considered by the Municipality as a relevant instrument of Integral Education Policy, which makes it possible, through the interrelation between school and civil society, to extend the school day and meet the demands of schools, which seek to strengthen school, contribute to families and guarantee the social rights of students enrolled in the Municipal Education Network of the City. For this, the Program and its intersectorial assumption were related to the concepts of public management, public policies, intersectoriality and social rights, through a documentary analysis that deals with these issues. And to describe its relevance as an instrument of public policy was used from the analysis of documents, available and made available by the Municipal Department of Education, review of studies conducted on the Program and oral interviews. The study made it possible to understand how the management of the Program, under the interinstitutional and multisectoral forms, performs the development of the different actions and services offered to students and their families, and how they articulate the partnerships, resources and knowledge among the various government agencies municipal and civil society institutions, mutually committed to the realization of the social rights of students of the City Hall of Belo Horizonte
