Auditoria energética: estudo de caso no restaurante do IFMG campus Bambuí (MG)

Abstract

This academic work is a brief study on the rationalization of energy usage At IFMG – Campus Bambuí‘s restaurant. The goal of the research focused on an energy audit at the restaurant’s facilities which has an area over 1000m². Therefore it can be considered a big service building at this institution. After the diagnosis and the assessment of all energy required equipment a critical analysis of electricity and gas was performed, and the identification of the main opportunities of usage rationalization was identified. A consumption estimate was made and in a 30 day range from October 5th 2015 till November 4th 2015 the amount of energy used was of 55,4 KWh/day which reflects in a total of 19.722,4 KWh/year. This translates into high consumption which requires a reassessment. With the results of this study one expects to obtain an evaluation of the usage conditions, management and consumption of energy and gas (LPG) from the building, in order to achieve necessary conditions to study the energetic performance of the facilities detecting inefficiencies in the system, identifying rationalization opportunities of consumption, proposing mitigation measures and strategies to refurbish the facilities improving performance. Therefore, the possibility of studying existing and operational buildings is one of the requirements of sustainability, being the results of this research a contribution for the development of a methodology to help renew the other constructions of this institution.
