Abstract: | The goal of this study was to verify the development of tactical intelligence through a didactic unit, in physical education classes in a public school. The sample consisted of 28 students of both sexes aged 10 to 12 years old, with the contents of handball and futsal being developed through the situational method. In order to categorizing and classifying the classes, it was used the protocol developed by Stefanello (1999) adapted by Saad (2002) for futsal and modified by the Center for Studies in Cognition and Action (CECA) for basketball. To assess the students' tactical procedural knowledge, the Procedural Tactical Knowledge Test for Sports Guidance (PTKTSG2) was used. The results indicated an increase in different actions and actions total in the PTKT-SG2 test in the hand game, as well as the evolution and maintenance of the number of actions in the hand game test and also in the foot game test. It is believed that several variables commonly present in the school environment interfered in the learning process throughout the didactic unit, such as school events, material, class history with physical education, and indiscipline. Through the use of the situational methodology, it was possible to make it possible for students to participate in activities effectively, expanding the repertoire of decision making. |
