Abstract:	In this paper, we provide the degree distribution of irreducible factors of the composed polynomial f(L(x)) over Fq, where f(x)∈Fq[x] is irreducible and L(x)∈Fq[x] is a linearized polynomial. We further provide some applications of our main result, including lower bounds for the number of irreducible factors of f(L(x)), constructions of high degree irreducible polynomials and the explicit factorization of f(xq−x) under certain conditions on f(x).
Abstract:	Neste artigo, fornecemos a distribuição de grau dos fatores irredutíveis do polinômio composto f (L (x)) sobre Fq, onde f (x) ∈Fq [x] é irredutível e L (x) ∈Fq [x] é um polinômio linearizado. Fornecemos ainda algumas aplicações de nosso resultado principal, incluindo limites inferiores para o número de fatores irredutíveis de f (L (x)), construções de polinômios irredutíveis de alto grau e a fatoração explícita de f (xq − x) sob certas condições em f (x).
