Abstract: | A new perylene derivative compound with high potential to make a stable white OLED with higher temperatures (until ~700K) was developed. It was done preserving the molecular structure of its precursor, PTCDA, with an easy solvothermal synthesis, enabling large scale production. The Tb(H3PTC)3 have a high luminescence signal and a trilobed structure. This work shows that a film thickness control can be used to select the intended material emission wavelength. Three exciton phenomena were found in photoluminescence (PL) spectra and the time dependent-PL (in 10K - 300K range) and time-decay measurements were analyzed. The results show exciton-phonon interaction and suggests that a trion annihilation is one of the present phenomena. XANES and EXAFS measurements along with DFT calculation show the material molecular structure. |
