Título: | O movimento estudantil alemão na década de 1960 e a teoria crítica da sociedade: algumas anotações |

Resumo: | O artigo enfoca, numa ordem aproximadamente cronológica, os acontecimentos mais marcantes no relacionamento entre os expoentes da chamada “Escola de Frankfurt” – especialmente Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer e Herbert Marcuse, dentre outros – e os estudantes politicamente organizados da Universidade Wolfgang Goethe, sediada na cidade alemã que deu nome àquela corrente de pensamento. O texto procura mostrar que esse relacionamento sempre foi marcado por certa ambiguidade, na medida em que os principais líderes do movimento estudantil daquela instituição, dentre os quais se destaca Hans Jürgen Krahl, se consideravam inspirados pelos representantes da Teoria Crítica em termos teóricos, ao mesmo tempo em que se sentiam traídos por eles (excetuando-se talvez por Marcuse) no tocante ao posicionamento e à atividade política naquele momento difícil enfrentado pelos estudantes. |
Abstract: | The article focuses in a succession approximately chronologic the most striking events in the relationship between the major personalities of the Frankfurt School – specially Theodor Adorno, Max Horkheimer and Herbert Marcuse, among others – and the politically organized students of the Wolfgang Goethe University, located in the city that lent its name to the aforementioned current of thought. The text seeks to show that the relationship between the students and its intelectual mentors has been always quite ambiguous, since the main leaders of these – including the most outstanding like Hans Jürgen Krahl – declared themselves on one hand theoretically inspired by the philosophers of the Frankfurt School, on the other hand felt betrayed by them, since they considered their support insufficient (except for Herbert Marcuse’s position) facing the very difficult political situation faced by the German student’s movement at that time. |
