| Abstract: | Nesta dissertação fazemos um estudo da técnica de \textit{expansão em polímeros}, a qual desempenha um papel fundamental em mecânica estatística rigorosa, no estudo de transições de fase em sistemas físicos. Discutimos a analiticidade da pressão para o modelo do \textit{gás de polímeros abstrato} e, baseados nas ideias discutidas neste modelo, fazemos algumas aplicações da técnica em outros modelos tais como o \textit{gás de subconjuntos na rede $\mathbb{Z}^d$} e o \textit{modelo de Ising}. Também aplicamos expansão em polímeros ao modelo Blume-Emery-Griffiths, na região de parâmetros conhecida como \textit{desordenada} e obtivemos resultados sobre a analiticidade da \textit{energia livre} deste modelo para qualquer valor de temperatura. |
| Abstract: | In this dissertation we study the \textit{polymer expansion technique}, which plays a fundamental role in rigorous statistical mechanics, in the study of phase transitions in physical systems. We discuss the pressure analyticity for the \textit{abstract polymer gas model} and, based on the ideas discussed in this model, we make some applications of the technique in other models such as the \textit{subset gas on the lattice $\mathbb{Z}^d$ } and the \textit{Ising model}. We also applied polymer expansion to the Blume-Emery-Griffiths model, in the region of parameters known as \textit{desordered} and we obtained results about analyticity of \textit{free energy} of this model for all temperature. |
