dc.description.abstractA teaching material proposal, presented on this paper, aims to provide students with the necessary tools to communicate successfully in real-life interactions, through the use of authentic material, having as its main purpose the practice of the four skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking, as well as to foster students‘ ability to activate their background knowledge and connect it with the new knowledge in order to create new linguistic abilities on the target language. The material consists in two units, which are separated and are not connected with each other regarding their themes; however, both of them presente meaningful and modern themes, which were carefully designed with the objective of arousing students‘ curiosity and relating their respective topics and sections with students‘ reality and day-today life.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoA proposta de material de ensino, presente neste trabalho, tem por objetivo prover as ferramentas necessárias aos alunos para uma comunicação bem sucedida em interações reais, por meio do uso de material autêntico, tendo como propósito principal a prática das quatro habilidades: leitura, compreensão auditiva, escrita e compreensão oral, bem como fomentar a habilidade do aluno de ativar o seu conhecimento de mundo e conectar esse conhecimento com o novo conhecimento para criar novas habilidades linguísticas na língua-alvo. O material consiste em duas unidades que são separadas e não estão conectadas em relação aos seus temas; no entanto, ambas apresentam temas significativos e modernos, que foram cuidadosamente elaborados com o objetivo de despertar a curiosidade dos alunos e relacionar os seus respectivos tópicos e seções com as realidades dos alunos.pt_BR
