| Abstract: | O objetivo do estudo foi comparar a percepção de alunos e professores de academia sobre a imagem corporal do professor que trabalha em academias de ginástica. Foram entrevistados 30 alunos e 20 professores, de ambos os sexos, de três academias distintas. Cerca de 90% dos entrevistados afirmam que a imagem corporal é importante para o professor de Educação Física, sendo que 70% dos entrevistados acham que professores que têm corpos com melhor aparência se sobressaem profissionalmente. Conclui-se que tanto para alunos quanto para professores a imagem corporal é de grande importância e, ainda, que a imagem do professor que trabalha em academia pode influenciar a imagem que o aluno deseja adquirir e que ele tem de si próprio. |
| Abstract: | The aim of the study was to compare the perception of students and teachers from gym on body image in teacher working in gyms. 30 students and 20 teachers of three different gyms, of both sexes, were interviewed. About90% of respondents said that body image is important to the physical education teacher, and 70% of respondents believe that teachers that have better looking bodies stand out professionally. We conclude that for both students and teachers the body image is of great importance, where the image of the teacher can influence the image that the student wishes to acquire and has of himself. |
