Triagem de materiais reciclávei s: análise da produtividade em uma cooperativa de catadores

Abstract

This study was carried out in a recyclable materials cooperative in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, from March 2020 to July 2021. The objective of this research is to identify the factors that compromise the cooperative's production in order to suggest improvements in the work process. The method used was the Ergonomic Work Analysis. The results showed problems in the organization of space and layout, it was found that the production control is obsolete and there are excessive production stops both in sorting through the conveyor belt and through the windows, in situations such as: opening the mouth of the bag, pack the materials inside the bag, drag a full bag to some available place, stops for changing a full bag for an empty one. In the case of windows, in addition to the stops mentioned, there are also stops to pull materials that are trapped and compacted in the silo. In addition, the cooperative suffers from the low adherence of the population in relation to correctly separating recyclable from non-recyclable materials, which negatively impacts the cooperative's production. After understanding the activity and identifying the main problems existing in the shed and in the sorting sector, recommendations were presented in order to eradicate and/or minimize the identified failures.
