Abstract:	In order to conclude the Specialization course of English Teaching at CEIUFMG, this final paper was mandatory. This final paper is a non-profitable material and can only be reproduced with the author’s authorization. The following teaching material was built with the purpose of combining English teaching with a historical context, in this case, World War II. Both units uses the same context to develop language, promote interaction and to think about our society today. I have always been fascinated with this historical event. I have watched many movies and read many things on the topic. While thinking about the paper I had the idea of using this context because I knew the great variety of resources that could be found on the internet. Throughout my researches, I have selected relevant genres of that time, which are still relevant today. For instance, newspaper articles, front page of newspapers and journals. All texts used are authentic and everything was taken from reliable websites. They are all suitable for the target public who would be about 14 years old. This paper was designed for students of 9th grade (Ensino Fundamental II) and it is recommended that they have an A2 (according to the Common European Frame Work of Reference For Languages) level of the language for a better understanding of the material. The best moment to work with these units is while the history teacher is also teaching World War II. Therefor students can have different points of view of the war. It is likely that they will be able to think more critically of this period in time.
Abstract:	Para a conclusão do curso de Especialização em Ensino de Inglês no CEIUFMG, este trabalho de conclusão de curso era obrigatório. Este trabalho final é um material não lucrativo e só pode ser reproduzido com autorização do autor. O seguinte material didático foi construído com o objetivo de combinar inglês ensino com um contexto histórico, neste caso, a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Ambas as unidades usam o mesmo contexto para desenvolver a linguagem, promover a interação e pensar a nossa sociedade hoje. Sempre fui fascinado por este acontecimento histórico. já assisti muitos filmes e ler muitas coisas sobre o tema. Enquanto pensava no papel, tive a ideia de usar este contexto porque eu conhecia a grande variedade de recursos que poderiam ser encontrados a Internet. Ao longo de minhas pesquisas, selecionei gêneros relevantes da época, que ainda hoje são relevantes. Por exemplo, artigos de jornal, primeira página de jornais e jornais. Todos os textos utilizados são autênticos e tudo foi retirado de sites confiáveis. Todos eles são adequados para o público-alvo que teria cerca de 14 anos. Este trabalho foi elaborado para alunos do 9º ano (Ensino Fundamental II) e recomenda-se que tenham um formato A2 (de acordo com o Common European Frame Work de referência para idiomas) do idioma para uma melhor compreensão do material. O melhor momento para trabalhar com essas unidades é enquanto o professor de história também está ensinando a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Assim, os alunos podem ter diferentes pontos de vista da guerra. Isto é provável que eles sejam capazes de pensar mais criticamente sobre esse período no tempo.
