| Abstract: | Teach a second language (SL), especially for teenagers, is a challenge, because the main point to do it successfully is to call their attention in a subject or theme that is interesting to them. So thinking about that, the Units will work all the important skills of the students using memorable and notable people for that. What I realized when I started this work was that the students should know about those people and others that I could not contemplate in this work. Therefore, I elected in the first Unit work with Martin Luther King Jr. using the biography as a genre to be worked with, as well the Simple Past tense as the grammar subject. And in this Unit I show the biography of Steve Jobs as the example of the Writing section. In the second Unit I worked with Stephen Hawking, a notable personality of nowadays. I mention the biography, but the main point here is to talk about his disease. In this Unit the grammar is Present Perfect tense. And another point of this Unit, is the speaking section, using the discussion to emphasize this activity. Another notable person mentioned in this Unit is Michal J. Fox, with the emphasis on his disease. It is important to state that the teacher interfering through the Units is essential for the formation of the students. They are responsible to bring material beyond the book sections and increase the student’s knowledge more and more. Lightbown & Spada (2011, p. 42) state that “Teachers can make a positive contribution to student’s motivation to learn if classrooms are places that students enjoy coming because the content is interesting and relevant to their age and level of ability”. In those Units I really expect to contribute in order to make the classroom a place they enjoy coming and staying at. |
| Abstract: | Ensinar uma segunda língua (SL), principalmente para adolescentes, é um desafio, pois a principal ponto para fazê-lo com sucesso é chamar sua atenção para um assunto ou tema que é interessante para eles. Pensando nisso, as Unidades vão trabalhar todas as habilidades importantes dos alunos usando pessoas memoráveis e notáveis por isso. O que percebi quando comecei este trabalho foi que os alunos saibam sobre aquelas pessoas e outras que eu não pude contemplar neste trabalho. Por isso, elegi na primeira Unidade trabalhar com Martin Luther King Jr. biografia como gênero a ser trabalhado, bem como o Simple Past como a gramática sujeito. E nesta Unidade mostro a biografia de Steve Jobs como exemplo do Seção de redação. Na segunda Unidade trabalhei com Stephen Hawking, personalidade marcante da atualidade. Menciono a biografia, mas o principal aqui é falar sobre a doença dele. Nesta unidade a gramática é o tempo presente perfeito. E outro ponto desta Unidade, é a fala seção, usando a discussão para enfatizar esta atividade. Outra pessoa notável mencionado nesta Unidade é Michal J. Fox, com ênfase em sua doença. É importante afirmar que a interferência do professor por meio das Unidades é essencial para o formação dos alunos. Eles são responsáveis por trazer material além do livro seções e aumentar cada vez mais o conhecimento do aluno. Lightbown & Spada (2011, p. 42) afirmam que “Os professores podem dar uma contribuição positiva para a motivação do aluno para aprender se as salas de aula são lugares que os alunos gostam de vir porque o conteúdo é interessante e relevante para sua idade e nível de habilidade”. Naqueles Unidades que realmente espero contribuir para tornar a sala de aula um lugar que eles gostem chegando e ficando. |
