| Abstract: | Este artigo busca verificar, através de dados de 1.400 mães coletados em fontes do período de 1745 a 1804, da freguesia de Antônio Dias, pertencente à Ouro Preto, os perfis desse conjunto de mulheres em idade reprodutiva. A base de dados utilizada foi desenvolvida na tese de doutorado de Campos (2012) e é construída a partir da união de registros paroquiais, listas nominativas e livro de tombos – um corpus extremamente rico, que permite entender parte da história dessas mulheres. O método escolhido para análise é o Grade of Membership (GoM), através do qual foi possível inferir quatro perfis “puros” no conjunto de mulheres em estudo, denominados: escravas africanas ou crioulas; mineiras e mulheres de outras partes da colônia; mães do fim do boom aurífero; e primeiras mães de Ouro Preto. Os resultados apontam que a dinâmica econômica teve forte impacto nos comportamentos captados nos quatro perfis delineados. |
| Abstract: | This paper aims to verify, through data from 1,400 mothers from the period 1745 to 1804 of the parish of Antônio Dias (Ouro Preto), the standards caractheristics of this group of women in reproductive age. The database, developed by Campos (2012), relies on the union of different types of historical data, as parish registers, nominative lists and other sources - an extremely rich database, that allows to understand part of the history of these women. The method chosen to analyze this database is the Grid of Membership (GoM), that made possible to infer four “pure” profiles: African or Criollo slaves; Mineiras and other Brazilian women; mothers of the end of the gold boom; and first mothers of Ouro Preto. The results show that the economic dynamics have a strong impact on the behaviors captured in the four delimited profiles. |
