| Abstract: | Este trabalho apresenta uma análise dos hagiotopônimos que nomeiam hidrônimos da Mesorregião Norte Maranhense, objetivando examinar a relação cultura, ambiente e toponímia. O corpus foi extraído do banco de dados da dissertação de mestrado intitulada Pelos caminhos das águas: um estudo da hidronímia da Mesorregião Norte Maranhense (PEREIRA, 2017). O banco abarca 60 municípios maranhenses e foi constituído com base em mapas oficiais do IBGE (2010), com escalas que variam de 1:50.000 a 1:100.000. Para este estudo, fundamentado nos trabalhos de Dick (2004; 1995), Sapir (1961) e Chaves (1956), foram selecionados 40 hagiotopônimos. Os resultados apontam a religiosidade como um fator significativo no processo de nomeação no âmbito da hidronímia maranhense. |
| Abstract: | This work presents an analysis of hagiotoponyms that name hydronyms of North Maranhense Mesoregion, aiming to examine the relationship between culture, environment and toponymy. The corpus was extracted from the database of the master's dissertation entitled Along the waterways: a study of the hydronymy of the North Maranhense Mesoregion (PEREIRA, 2017). The bank covers 60 municipalities in Maranhão and was created based on official IBGE maps (2010), with scales ranging from 1: 50,000 to 1: 100,000. For this study, based on the work of Dick (2004; 1995), Sapir (1961) and Chaves (1956), 40 hagiotoponyms were selected. The results point to religiosity as a significant factor in the nomination process in the context of Maranhão's hydronym. |
