| Abstract: | Microrganismos estão presentes na natureza e possuem funções variadas. Os fungos, um tipo de microrganismo, costumam ser associados a doenças ou à contaminação de alimentos. Neste trabalho investigamos as concepções de um grupo de estudantes do 5º e 6º anos do Ensino Fundamental relativas aos fungos. Para isso, organizamos um questionário, com perguntas referentes à disciplina de Ciências e aos fungos, que foi aplicado em duas turmas de Ciências de uma escola pública de Belo Horizonte/MG. A análise dos dados mostrou que os estudantes descrevem as aulas como “tradicionais” e têm preferência por algumas estratégias que são pouco utilizadas pelos professores. Em relação aos fungos, a percepção da sua contribuição positiva praticamente não existe e a tendência desses estudantes é de associá-los a fatores ruins e/ou prejudiciais. |
| Abstract: | Micro-organisms are present in nature and have different functions. Fungi, a type of micro-organism, are often associated with diseases or contamination of food. In this work we investigated the conceptions of a group of elementary school students concerning fungi. For this, we organized a quiz with questions relating to the discipline of science, and to fungi, which was applied in a science class in a public school in Belo Horizonte/MG. The analysis of the data showed that students describe the classes as "traditionals" and preferred some strategies that are little used by teachers. In relation to fungi, perception of their positive contribution practically does not exist and the tendency of these students is to associate them with bad and/or harmful events. |
