| Abstract: | Questões como a influência da tecnologia no cotidiano e as soluções e problemas que poderiam advir da relação cada vez mais próxima entre homens e máquinas e a observação mais científica do mundo e mais humana das ciências, são as chaves pelas quais pretende-se desvendar os contos que perfazem um percurso repleto de imagens corpóreas, sensações, devires no livro Histórias naturais, publicado em 1966 pelo escritor italiano Primo Levi (1919-1987). As metáforas levam significado de um domínio ontológico para outro, criando uma relação que não se encontra na natureza, assim o texto busca na linguagem da ciência e na obsessão pelos arquivos todo um arcabouço semiológico, de forma a dar relevo aos processos de submissão do humano à máquina e à tecnologia. A partir da obsessão contemporânea pelo arquivo, como descrita por Jacques Derrida e das noções de biopoder de Michel Foucault, do poder de promover a vida ou desautorizá-la ao ponto da morte, pretende-se observar as metáforas literárias em Histórias naturais, do qual emergem a ciência e o arquivo, com suas linguagens e técnicas como alegoria bem construídas a favor do poder, da dominação e da destruição do outro. |
| Abstract: | Questions such as the influence of technology on everyday life and the solutions and problems that could come from the ever closer relationship between men and machines and the more scientific observation of the world and a more human view of the Science are the keys by which it is intended to unravel the tales which make a journey full of corporeal images, sensations, becomingsin the short-stories that belong to the book NaturalHistories (The Sixth Day and Other Tales, title in English), published in 1966 by the Italian writer Primo Levi (1919-1987). The metaphors take meaning from one ontological domain to another, creating a relationship that is not found in nature, so the text searches in the language of science and in the obsession for the archives a whole semiological framework, tohighlight the processes of submission of the human machine and technology. From the contemporary obsession with the archive, as described by Jacques Derrida and the notions of biopowerby Michel Foucault, the power to promote life or to de-authorize it to the point of death, we intend to observe the literary metaphors in Natural Histories, of which science and archives emerge, with their languages and techniques as well-constructed allegory in favor of power, domination, and destruction of the other. |
