Abstract: This work contemplates the elaboration of two didactic units for the teaching of the English Language. One is about microplastics found in the Arctic and Antarctic and is aimed at intermediate-level high school students. The other is about immigration and is intended for adult learners at the advanced level. Units are organized into activities on reading, listening, speaking, writing and grammar. In addition, they were planned based on the Communicative methodology and present activities with different multiliteracies and multimodalities. The texts used in the units are authentic texts, available electronically, as well as the videos that make up the listening activities. These texts are of different genres, depending on the purpose for which they are intended. Grammatical activities are not based only on knowing rules, they also have the objective of communicating, thus becoming closer to natural language acquisition. Students learn grammar inductively.
