| Abstract: | O Y Balance Test (YBT) é um teste confiável e válido para capturar o controle neuromuscular dinâmico, além de avaliar a simetria e deslocamento dos membros inferiores, possibilitando prever risco de lesão. Ainda, o teste apresenta confiabilidade intra-avaliador. Considerando a importância do YBT na prática clínica e na pesquisa, e que não há revisões sistemáticas sobre o tema, o objetivo desta revisão foi investigar quais variáveis biomecânicas influenciam no desempenho do YBT. Foram selecionados artigos sem restrição de idioma e ano de publicação, encontrados no banco de dados EMBASE e PUBMED, que abordassem as variáveis biomecânicas que influenciam no desempenho do YBT em indivíduos hígidos. Os critérios de exclusão foram estudos de caso único e estudos que não abordavam o assunto apesar do título favorável. Foram encontrados 303 artigos, e ao final foram selecionados cinco. Múltiplos fatores influenciam nos resultados do YBT. Porém os resultados devem ser interpretados com cautela. |
| Abstract: | The Y Balance Test (YBT) is a reliable and valid test to capture dynamic neuromuscular control, in addition to assessing the symmetry and displacement of the lower limbs, making it possible to predict risk of injury. Also, the test presents intra-rater reliability. Considering the importance of YBT in clinical practice and research, and that there are no systematic reviews on the subject, the objective of this review was to investigate which biomechanical variables influence the performance of YBT. Articles without restriction of language and year of publication, found in the EMBASE and PUBMED database, that addressed the biomechanical variables that influence the performance of the YBT in healthy individuals were selected. Exclusion criteria were single case studies and studies that did not address the subject despite the favorable title. 303 articles were found, and in the end five were selected. Multiple factors influence YBT results. However, the results must be interpreted with caution |
