| Abstract: | A dieta isenta de glúten tem se tornado muito comum na população geral, sendo que apenas uma minoria tem diagnóstico das doenças relacionadas a essa substância – doença celíaca (DC), alergia ao trigo (AT) e sensibilidade ao glúten não celíaca (SGNC). Essas entidades são diferentes, mas com sintomatologia muitas vezes semelhante. O diagnóstico é baseado nas manifestações clínicas e exames para DC e AT. O tratamento é a dieta de exclusão do glúten ou trigo (AT), porém com rigor na retirada do glúten e prognóstico diferentes de acordo com a doença específica. |
| Abstract: | Gluten-free diet has become very common. But only a minority of people has been diag nosed with gluten related disorders as celiac disease (CD), wheat allergy (WA) and non celiac gluten sensitivity (NGCS). These are diferent disease, but they can have similar clinical manifestations. The diagnosis is based on the clinical manifestations and tests for CD and WA. The treatment is the gluten or wheat exclusion diet, but with rigor in the withdrawal of gluten and different prognosis according to the specific disorder. |
