| Abstract: | Tradicionalmente, na literatura linguística, os verbos de estado recebem diferentes análises. Por um lado, há autores que analisam esses verbos como elementos semânticos primitivos e como uma classe uniforme de verbos. Por outro, há autores que identificam uma composicionalidade nesses itens, considerando que eles se distribuem por diferentes classes verbais. Neste artigo, tomamos como objeto de estudo os verbos de estado do português brasileiro, com o objetivo de mostrar que esses verbos, em nossa língua objeto, seguem o segundo padrão de análise explicitado: são itens composicionais e decomponíveis e não possuem comportamento uniforme, distribuindo-se por diferentes classes. Para tanto, analisamos 36 verbos de estado do português brasileiro, à luz do quadro teórico-metodológico da Semântica Lexical. |
| Abstract: | Traditionally, in linguistic literature, stative verbs have received distinct analyses. On one hand, there are authors who analyze these verbs as primitive semantic elements and as a uniform verb class. On the other hand, there are authors who identify compositionality in these items, considering that they are distributed among different verb classes. In this paper, we present a study of Brazilian Portuguese stative verbs, aiming at showing that these verbs, in our object language, follow the second pattern of analysis shown: they are compositional and decomposable items and do not have uniform behavior, being part of different verb classes. To this end, we have analyzed 36 Brazilian Portuguese stative verbs, in the light of the Lexical Semantics theoretical-methodological framework. |
