Mobilidade no Setor Central de Goiânia: diagnóstico e intervenções sustentáveis

Abstract

The present work begins with a review of the relevant literature on themes related to mobility, its relationship with the emergence of cities and its state of the art in Brazilian territory. A brief discussion of the current problem of the unbridled growth of cities is presented, which in turn results in a great demand for motorized transport. Entering the theme of sustainable mobility, the reasons why interventions, such as urban acupuncture, are so important for the quality of life of the inhabitants are presented. The main traffic calming tools currently deployed are also discussed, presenting three case studies. After a brief contextualization, a qualitative and quantitative diagnosis of the central sector of the city of Goiânia is presented. This diagnosis is based on the results of an online questionnaire, photographic survey and analysis of relevant aspects of the landscape for a quality of permanence and urban accessibility. After the diagnosis, sustainable interventions are proposed in order to increase the quality of stay of the inhabitant or visitor in public spaces in the central sector. The intervention involves new urban furniture, lighting on the pedestrian scale, changing the level of the streets, among other actions, providing more leisure and comfort for passers-by, with the aim of encouraging the use of collective and non-motorized transport in the region.
