| Abstract: | Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar a Semana Santa na cidade de Ouro Preto, em Minas Gerais, considerando a relação entre a estrutura urbana e as festividades ao longo do tempo. A pesquisa parte da hipótese de que houve mudanças nos rituais e na organização espacial após a industrialização e o desenvolvimento turístico da cidade. A abordagem adotada considera o patrimônio material e imaterial indissociáveis, utilizando ferramentas como o estudo histórico e a pesquisa fotográfica para analisar as relações entre paisagem e manifestação cultural. O estudo também destaca a presença do Barroco nas procissões da Semana Santa e o uso dos espaços públicos da cidade. Além disso, a partir das referências bibliográficas e da vivência pessoal, é evidenciado como a festa constrói uma nova paisagem que altera os sentidos e desenvolve novas percepções da cidade. O trabalho tem como resultado uma análise da importância da Semana Santa para a cultura e a história de Ouro Preto, destacando seu papel na construção cultural e de uma nova paisagem, reflexo das procissões dessa festa. |
| Abstract: | This research aims to analyze Semana Santa in the city of Ouro Preto, in the state of Minas Gerais, considering the relationship between urban structure and festivities over time. The research starts from the hypothesis that there were changes in rituals and spatial organization after the industrialization and tourism development of the city. The adopted approach considers the material and immaterial heritage inseparable, using tools such as historical study and photographic research to analyze the relationship between landscape and cultural manifestation. The study also highlights the presence of Baroque in Semana Santa processions and the use of public spaces in the city. Moreover, based on bibliographic references and personal experience, it’s evidenced how the festivity constructs a new landscape that alters perceptions and develops new senses of the city. The research results in an analysis of the importance of Semana Santa for the culture and history of Ouro Preto, highlighting its role in cultural construction and the creation of a new landscape, reflecting the processions of this festival. |
