| Abstract: | A dira libido ocorre em Fedra como um recurso que Sêneca utiliza para amalgamar os afetos e mitos à sua maneira. Além do nefas, do furor e do dolor (DUPONT, 1995) a libido também faz parte dos recursos dramáticos, pois transborda das obras filosóficas de Sêneca e invade a tragédia de Fedra de forma peculiar. Traduzimos a peça do latim para o português e mostramos seu mecanismo dramático através de excertos da obra filosófica de Sêneca, com o objetivo de debater o vocábulo e mostrar a mecânica em sua dramaturgia. O presente trabalho visou contribuir com o crescente estudo da dramaturgia de Sêneca e reforça a ideia de que ele, dentre outras coisas, também foi dramaturgo. |
| Abstract: | Dira Libido occurs in Phaedra as a resource that Seneca uses to gather affections and myths in his own way. In addition to nefas, furor and dolor (DUPONT, 1995), libido is also part of the dramatic resources, as it overflows Seneca’s philosophical works and invades the tragedy of Phaedra in a peculiar way. We have translated the latin play into Portuguese and we show its dramatic mechanism through excerpts from Seneca’s philosophical work, with the aim of debating the word and exhibiting its mechanic in his dramaturgy. The present work aimed to contribute to the growing study of Seneca’s dramaturgy and to reinforce the idea that he, among other things, was also a playwrite. |
