Abstract:	O artigo discute o desenvolvimento brasileiro considerando a sustentabilidade ambiental. As estruturas produtivas importam para o tipo desejado dedesenvolvimento econômico e social. É necessário fazer escolhas, repensar e planejar a economia brasileira,articulando inovações tecnológicas e sustentabilidade ambiental.O extrativismopredatório,que caracteriza historicamente a economia brasileira e a sua inserção externa,precisa ser discutido.O debate mundial sobre mudanças ambientais começou na década de 1970, mas ainda não se tornou um critériopara a definição da estrutura econômica do Brasil. A Agenda 2030 da Organização das Nações Unidas é apontada como uma referência a ser seguida
Abstract:	This paper discussestheBrazilian development and environmental sustainability.The industrial structures matter for the type of economic and social development. It is necessary to make choices, to rethink and plan the Brazilian economyin order to articulate technological innovations and environmental sustainability. The predatory and extractivesmodelthat characterizestheBrazilian economyand its international relations needs to be discussed. The global debate about environmental changes started in the 1970s, but it still doesn ́t play an important role in the definition of theBrazilian economic structure. The 2030 Agenda of the United Nations is pointed out as a reference to be followed
