Manifestações patológicas causadas por vícios construtivos : um estudo de caso

Abstract

Civil construction is crucial for the economic development of a nation, providing jobs, income, and the circulation of capital. By streamlining its activities, a natural boost to socioeconomic growth and necessary investments occurs. However, this sector requires attention due to associated risks that can impact human lives. The majority of accidents in buildings result from construction failures, leading to human losses and financial damages. Thus, the overall objective of this work is to analyze and identify pathological manifestations caused by construction defects in a residential building located in Itabirito, MG. Additionally, the examined case study explores a residential structure, including a literature review, technical analysis of documents, a technical visit for inspection, and the classification of anomalies and failures according to their level of risk and origins. The studied anomalies include inadequate drainage from the roof drains, failure in the waterproofing of the roof floor, cracks in the building, and poor adhesion of the substrate to the porcelain coating. The study's conclusions indicate that the anomalies were primarily caused by endogenous and construction factors. The lack of proper ceramic dragging and the inefficiency of percussion with a rubber hammer also contributed to the adhesion problem of the coating to the substrate. The importance of issuing a technical responsibility note is highlighted, emphasizing the need to comply with legal and normative requirements to prevent construction problems in the future.
