| Abstract: | Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a questão da medicalização no campo educacional, interpelando se esta constitui-se como um impasse para o processo de inclusão escolar. Para tanto, focalizaremos, inicialmente, elementos históricos sobre a deficiência e mapearemos discursos acerca da deficiência mental/intelectual. Em seguida, desenvolveremos o tema da medicalização e avançaremos no sentido de questionar como esse fenômeno pode interferir nas práticas instituídas no cotidiano escolar. Por fim, abordaremos fragmentos de uma pesquisa de campo, apresentando os discursos de profissionais da educação e da saúde concernentes à não aprendizagem, que indicam uma confluência interpretativa entre os dois campos e desvelam os meandros da medicalização da queixa escolar. |
| Abstract: | This article aims to analyze the issue of medicalization in the educational field,questioning whether it constitutes an impasse for the process of school inclusion. Therefore, we will initially focus on historical elements about disability, and we will map discourses about mental/intellectual disability. Then, we will develop the theme of medicalization and move forward in the sense of questioning how this phenomenoncan interfere in the practices established in the school routine. Finally, we will discuss fragments of a field research, presenting the speeches of education and health professionals regarding non-learning, which indicate an interpretative confluence between the two fields and reveal the intricacies ofmedicalization of school complaints. |
