A identificação dos perfis socioculturais dos redatores de corpora históricos: encaminhamentos metodológicos

Abstract

This article presents methodological procedures guided by two models of pilot analysis responsible not only for helping the process of reconstruction of the sociocultural profile of the writer based on traces expressed in the historical missive, but also for evidencing, through of graphic traces, the degree of literacy of writers from past synchrony. Thus, we argue, at first, about the relevance of the linguist-researcher to look for informations associated to sociocultural profiles that are confined to the document itself, comparing them with archival and encyclopedic informations about socially known writers. In a second moment, we seek to expose through the potentialities of the computational tool of edition (E-dictor Program), features of the degrees of literacy of socially unknown writers. Based on this proposed pilot analysis of graphic features and graph-phonetic in historical manuscripts, we make out the treatment of informants with low literacy level, taking into account the strategies of hiposegmentation and hypersegmentation in different contexts of remand forms, but also in ambiences of syllabic borders.
