Resumo: | O presente trabalho propõe um exercício crítico comparativo entre os romances Carta à rainha louca (2019), de Maria Valéria Rezende, e Teoria Geral do Esquecimento (2012), de José Eduardo Agualusa, com o objetivo de compreender como a clausura opera os traumas e as lembranças das protagonistas Isabel e Ludovica. A partir das obras escolhidas, o trabalho busca ampliar nossa compreensão do tema, considerando relações de alteridade que nos ensejam a examinar o objeto de estudo por diferentes perspectivas. A clausura, acompanhada pelo esquecimento e pela escrita das personagens, emerge como um elemento intertextual que dialoga com o corpo, com a história e suas variações ideológicas, promovendo reflexões sobre a construção da memória e da imaginação em relação ao corpo feminino. Ambos os romances abordam a temática da clausura sob a ótica colonialista portuguesa, contribuindo para o debate sobre a formação das nações e suas respectivas identidades por meio das lembranças que surgem durante o confinamento. A narradoras Isabel e co-narradora Ludovica transitam no espaço literário, embaralhando identidades e promovendo deslocamentos territoriais e sociais por meio de experiências do claustro. Nesse contexto, a análise incorpora a noção de animalidade e devir-animal como ferramentas críticas para explorar as relações entre a clausura e a identidade. Por fim, destaca-se que esta análise se elabora através do diálogo entre as obras, considerando a dimensão dos afetos e das relações que moldam as diversas formas de constituição do corpo feminino em suas diferentes manifestações. |
Abstract: | This paper proposes a comparative critical exercise between the novels Letter to the mad (2019), by Maria Valéria Rezende, and General Theory of Forgetting (2012), by José Eduardo Agualusa, with the aim of understanding how enclosure operates the traumas and memories of the protagonists memories of the protagonists Isabel and Ludovica. Based on the works chosen, the work seeks to our understanding of the theme, considering relationships of alterity that allow us to examine the the object of study from different perspectives. The enclosure, accompanied by forgetfulness and the writing of the characters, emerges as an intertextual element that dialogues with the body, with history and its ideological variations, promoting reflections on the construction of memory and imagination in relation to the female body. Both novels approach the theme of enclosure from the perspective of Portuguese colonialism, contributing to the debate the formation of nations and their respective identities through the memories that arise during confinement that arise during confinement. The narrators Isabel and co-narrator Ludovica move through the literary literary space, shuffling identities and promoting territorial and social displacements through experiences of the cloister. In this context, the analysis incorporates the notion of animality and becoming-animal as critical tools to explore the relationship between enclosure and identity and identity. Finally, it should be noted that this analysis is developed through a dialog between the works, considering the dimension of affections and relationships that shape the various forms of constitution of the female body in its different manifestations. |
