| Title: | As centralidades urbanas e a mobilidade individual motorizada em Belo Horizonte/MG |

| Abstract: | Os sistemas de transporte são cruciais na estruturação do espaço, tendo forte relação com o processo de formação e consolidação das centralidades urbanas. Existe, portanto, uma interdependência entre o crescimento do tecido urbano e a demanda por mobilidade, de maneira que deficiências nesses sistemas interferem diretamente nas atividades econômicas e no cotidiano de mobilidade da população. Com base em ferramentas de geoprocessamento e utilizando-se dos indicadores de análise espacial propostos, buscou-se analisar o poder de atração de viagens motorizadas e individuais das centralidades urbanas no município de Belo Horizonte, comparando os dados extraídos das duas últimas pesquisas Origem e Destino (OD). De modo geral, as evidências empíricas trazidas não confirmam a hipótese de descentralização. Ainda que algumas centralidades tenham ganhado relevância no cenário local e regional, a área central da capital mineira não apresentou perda significativa de seu poder de atração de viagens. |
| Abstract: | Transportation systems are crucial to the structuring of space, and are strongly related to the process of formation and consolidation of urban centers. Therefore, there is an interdependence between the growth of the urban fabric and the demand for mobility, so that deficiencies in these systems directly interfere with economic activities and the daily mobility of the population. Based on geoprocessing tools and using the proposed spatial analysis indicators, we sought to analyze the power of attraction of motorized and individual trips of urban centers in the city of Belo Horizonte, comparing data extracted from the last two Origin and Destination (OD) surveys. In general, the empirical evidence presented does not confirm the hypothesis of decentralization. Although some centers have gained relevance in the local and regional scenario, the central area of the capital of Minas Gerais has not shown a significant loss of its power of attraction for trips. |
