| Abstract: | Propôs-se, neste estudo,realizar uma avaliação da acessibilidade arquitetônica da biblioteca da Escola de Engenharia da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. Para a avaliação,foram usados os parâmetros estabelecidos nas normas de acessibilidade da Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas(ABNT): NBR15599/2008 e NBR9050/2015 e nos documentos Checklist para bibliotecas (Nicoletti, 2010), bem comoo Manual orientador (Fortalecimento[...], 2016). Observou-se que,na maioria dos itens,a biblioteca encontra-se em consonância com as diretrizes e normas estabelecidas. Contudo notou-se que as condições de acessibilidade são planejadas muito em função do usuário e deixa a desejar nos aspectos para os atendentes/funcionários. |
| Abstract: | This study aimed to conduct an evaluation of the architectural accessibility of the library at the School of Engineering of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The assessment utilized the parameters established in the accessibility standards of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT): NBR15599/2008 and NBR9050/2015, as well as the documents "Checklist for Libraries" (Nicoletti, 2010) and the guiding manual (Fortalecimento[...], 2016). It was observed that, in most aspects, the library complies with the established guidelines and standards. However, it was noticed that the accessibility conditions are primarily designed with the user in mind and fall short in terms of provisions for attendants/employees. |
