Análise comparativa do cálculo e dimensionamento de um edifício em alvenaria estrutural sem a utilização de softwares e com a utilização do TQS Alvest

Abstract

In the area of Brazilian civil construction, a comparative analysis of the design of a structural masonry project, with and without the aid of software, is important to indicate the advantages that automated calculation can present to the design engineer. In this sense, the main objective of the work is to show the structural design process using manual calculation and the TQS Alvest software, to show the benefits of the program. To produce a comparative study of the results, only the dimensioning of the walls of the first floor of the presented project was analyzed, as this is where the greatest efforts are exerted. The methodology used was based on bibliographic and documentary research, using materials previously published by authors in the field of civil engineering and by the Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas. The result of the research exposes the advantages of automating the calculations for the preparation of the project using the software, which provided greater agility for sizing and made it possible to consider the geometries and behaviors of the structure in a three-dimensional model. With this, it was possible to conclude that the TQS Alvest software optimizes the engineer's work, increasing their productivity in designing projects and enabling sizing closer to reality, as long as the designer has mastery of the program for a correct definition of criteria and structural launch. Therefore, to constantly improve the development of structural projects, investing in software to help engineers is important for those who work in the construction industry.
