| Abstract: | presente estudo investiga a dinâmica das chuvas em Belo Horizonte durante o ano seco de 2014, analisando a distribuição espacial e temporal das precipitações e seus impactos ambientais, através dos dados das Normais Climatológicas (1961-2020) e informações coletadas pela Estação meteorológica convencional 5º DISMET do Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia (INMET). Este trabalho compara os padrões de precipitação de 2014 com as médias históricas e destaca a importância da compreensão detalhada do regime pluviométrico para a gestão de recursos hídricos, bem como atenuação de problemas urbanos causados pela variabilidade climática. Foram analisados fatores atmosféricos como massas de ar e interações com o relevo local, além de terem sido elaboradas tabelas estatísticas e gráficos de anomalias de precipitação. Os resultados mostram a influência significativa das condições climáticas no abastecimento de água e nas estratégias de adaptação urbana em períodos de seca extrema. |
| Abstract: | This study investigates the dynamics of rainfall in Belo Horizonte during the dry year of 2014, analyzing the spatial and temporal distribution of precipitation and its environmental impacts using data from Climatological Normals (1961-2020) and information collected by the conventional weather station 5º DISMET of the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET). This work compares the precipitation patterns of 2014 with historical averages and highlights the importance of a detailed understanding of the rainfall regime for water resource management and the mitigation of urban problems caused by climatic variability. Atmospheric factors such as air masses and interactions with the local topography were analyzed, in addition to the preparation of statistical tables and precipitation anomaly graphs. The results show the significant influence of climatic conditions on water supply and urban adaptation strategies during periods of extreme drought. |
