Title: Estimação de estados a partir de medições não sincronizadas e amostradas irregularmente

Abstract: This paper addresses the impact of irregular sampling and the lack of synchronization among sensors in state estimation via sensor fusion, considering that the measurements are obtained with the recordingof the time instants in which they are realized. An illustrative case study of position estimation of a vehicle,modeled as a unicycle on a surface, that counts on inertial sensors and makes use of noisy measurements from aGPS receptor, is presented and discussed.
