Abstract: | A presente pesquisa visa analisar técnicas utilizadas por compositores contemporâneos e aplicá-las em obras musicais originais, seguindo o pensamento do método dedutivo proposto por Pierre Boulez. As obras estudadas serão Titanium, de João Pedro Oliveira e A Twilights Song, de Matthias Pintscher. À luz do pensamento musical de Pierre Boulez, conforme exposto no filme A Lesson by Pierre Boulez, de Andy Sommer, serão analisadas as relações entre micro e macroestrutura com enfoque nos processos de variação, articulação formal e exploração tímbrica. |
Abstract: | This research aims to understand how certain compositional techniques are employed in contemporary music. Those techniques will be applied in original compositions after an analytical process, following the deductive method proposed by Pierre Boulez. The main references for this research will be two pieces: João Pedro Oliveiras Titanium and Matthias Pintschers A Twilights Song. Following Pierre Boulez considerations on the documentary A Lesson by Pierre Boulez, it will be analyzed the relations between micro and macro structure focusing on variation procedures, formal articulation and timbre exploration. |
