| Abstract: | Após a terapia endodôntica há necessidade de devolver ao dente suas funções, reintegrando-o ao sistema mastigatório por meio de uma adequada restauração. O objetivo principal do retentor intra-radicular é proporcionar retenção para o núcleo de preenchimento na porção coronal que irá receber a coroa protética. Portanto, para o sucesso clínico do tratamento, uma série de requisitos biomecânicos é necessária, a fim de garantir a longevidade da restauração e a maior sobrevida do dente. Dentre estes fatores biomecânicos estão o comprimento e o diâmetro do pino, forma dos retentores, a quantidade de estrutura dental remanescente, o agente de cimentação e a distribuição de forças / tensões à raiz do dente. O presente estudo tem como objetivo revisar a literatura sobre as características dos dentes tratados endodonticamente e a evolução dos retentores intra-radiculares. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa nas bases de dados, utilizando os descritores de saúde: tratamento endodôntico, pino intraradicular, tipos de pinos, vantagens, desvantagens. |
| Abstract: | After endodontic therapy, it´s necessary to give back the tooth function, reintegrating it into the masticatory system by an adequate restorative procedure. The main objective of the intraradicular retainer is to provide a retaining to the core fill in the coronal portion of which will receive the prosthetic crown. Therefore, for the clinical success of the treatment, a series of biomechanical requirements are necessary in order to ensure the longevity of the restoration and to increase the tooth rate of survival. Among these biomechanical factors are the length and diameter of the pin, shape of the retainers, the amount of remaining tooth structure, cementing agent and distribution of forces and stresses at the tooth root. The objective of this study was to review the literature about the characteristics of endodontically treated teeth and the evolution of the intraradicular retainers. For this purpose, a survey was conducted in the databases using the keywords health: endodontic treatment, intraradicular pin, pin types, advantages, disadvantages. |
