| Abstract: | Este artigo é fruto de uma pesquisa de pós graduação. tendo como viés principal a história cultural, em vista que esta abre múltiplas possibilidades para se compreender história cultural e não cultura popular, apropriação ao invés de dominação. Esse se torna o grande objetivo deste trabalho. A partir de então, o artigo apresenta um estudo sobre as manifestações culturais afro-brasileiras, tendo como ponto principal o congado na cidade de Alvinópolis, Minas Gerais, bem como suas origens, seus símbolos e seus significados para os moradores da cidade. |
| Abstract: | This article is the result of a post-graduate research. Its main bias cultural history , given that this opens many possibilities for understanding cultural history and not popular culture, ownership rather than domination. This becomes the main objective of this work . From then on , the article presents a study of the african -Brazilian cultural expressions , the main point the congado in the city of Alvinópolis , Minas Gerais , as well as its origins , its symbols and their meanings for city dwellers. |
