| Abstract: | Esta atualização sobre a brucelose tem o objetivo de abordar a situação epidemiológica da brucelose humana no Brasil e no mundo, suas fontes de infecção e grupos de risco, sintomatologia clínica, tratamento, características dos antimicrobianos utilizados para o tratamento da doença no ser humano, assim como seus mecanismos de resistência. Além disso, aborda o papel de Brucella spp. como agente de bioterrorismo. |
| Abstract: | The goal of this update of brucellosis as a zoonotic disease is to address the human brucellosis and its epidemiological situation in Brazil and in the world, their sources of infection and risk groups, clinical symptoms, treatment and characteristics of the antimicrobials used to treat disease in humans. It discusses the role of Brucella spp. as an agent of bioterrorism. |
