| Abstract: | Informação para negócios é um dos fatores fundamentais para o desenvolvimento gerencial e tecnológico de setores industriais. Este estudo investiga as necessidades de informação de empresas do setor moveleiro. O foco desse estudo foram 168 empresas moveleiras no Estado de Minas Gerais. Investiga ainda os tipos de informação e as fontes que são utilizadas para a satisfação de necessidades informacionais dessas empresas, e o potencial que a Internet possui para a disponibilização das informações que lhes possam ser úteis. Propõe também, algumas sugestões para o desenvolvimento de umsistema de informação via web, para servir de auxílio às empresas do setor. |
| Abstract: | Business Information is one of the fundamental factors for technological and managerial development of industrial sectors. This study investigated the information needs of companies in the furniture sector. The focus of the study were 168 companies in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The study explored the types of information and information sources used and the potential of the Internet to provide access to the information needed by the companies researched. Finally the study makes suggestions for the development of an information system, via web, to assist these companies. |
